   Two-day workshop in Needle Felting
A character bust with hands

_This is my favourite workshop as my expertise is in creating character faces from any medium. All students meet with success. (See Student's work in the Gallery). With a few felting needles and assorted hand-dyed carded fleece, you will create your own character face and hands. Have fun embellishing the head with assorted fleece... or maybe create a wet felted hat. Your imagination will determine how it will be displayed... see Maggie the Scarecrow in the Gallery.

Cost; $75.00 per person, which includes all materials. Special rate for large groups

Three-Day Workshops in Polymer Clay

_Jenny has adjusted her workshops to meet the needs of students requiring more of an individual and one-on-one approach. The workshops originally designed to be done in two days can now be tailored to suit the individual needs of your doll club. Costs for tuition will range from $50.00 to $65.00 per student per day. The use of tools and the Polymer clay will be covered in this fee. Students will be required to supply some basic supplies themselves. The following courses are suggestions which can be modified to suit. To make an entire doll:
Workshop 1: The Head. Create your own original 'dressed' head ready to apply to a basic wire armature which has been wrapped, to create the body. A Santa, an elf, an old person or a creature from fantasy. .
Workshop 2: The Hands. In this one day workshop you will make wire hand armatures, wrap with Polymer clay and sculpt finger nails and knuckles. Your finished hands will be tailored to suit the size of the doll being created.
Workshop 3: The Feet. Legs and shoes. Using Jack Johnson's method of creating shoes you will explore different shoe types, creating the style to suit your character. Some pre-course work will need to be done in advance.

After tracing the possum pattern onto the felt you will needle-felt the possum building up the leg and head to create the relief effect. You will use a variety of grey shades to create depth. Leaves and tree trunk are both felted into the background and built out. Similar animals can be created, however face on works best.
